Hi I'm Julia from Salt & Sunshine Jewellery. I live in Berhampore in Wellington. I currently work for the government. When I'm not at work, I enjoy exploring Wellington's amazing hospitality scene & making the most of the many special events that take place in the city. I jump at any opportunity to travel and have been to plenty of exciting places around the world. More recently I've picked up my new hobby of jewellery making... to the extent that I now have all the tools and equipment at home. I just can't get enough of it! I make handcrafted sterling silver jewellery- necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. I'm inspired by the beach so many of my pieces feature seaglass and pebbles found at my local beach, Island Bay. I love the more organic formation so you can expect rough edges and hammered textures in my work. I absolutely love experimenting so I can also make jewellery to measure, based on your ideas and requirements!
Meet Lynda from River Mist Soap! My passion is soap. I make luxurious, wonderfully bubbly soap. I offer a full range of colours and fragrance. My soap is vegan, chemical and paraben free and no palm oil. My soap is handmade with love.
I also offer wonderful silky bubble bath and a range of bath bombs. Gift packs available. Meet Mai from Wairarapa Cottage Crafts! I sell handmade jewellery, hand-felted merino/silk scarves and wraps, bags, mittens, felted flower brooches, and much more! I use New Zealand and Australian merino and Alpaca wool, blended with silk to create a distinctive range of colours, with warmth and a unique texture.
kd one was created by Kareen (Donaldson) Holland, a successful make-up artist in the international television and film industry for 23 years. Kareen was involved in many successful projects in the film and television industry, such as: Xena-Princess Warrior, Spartacus-Blood and Sand, The Strip and many other larger film productions, particularly in the horror movie genre, where she has received award recognition. kd one has created a range of totally natural skincare and cosmetics, which are clinically effective and safe. Many people are increasingly getting concerned about parabens, petrochemicals and other synthetic ingredients and their effect on your health and the environment. Beauty and nature together. Our products suit all types of skin and are especially suitable for those with very sensitive skin, suffering from reactions such as rashes, eczema and skin irritations from chemical and other non-natural ingredients. We will customise products for our clients who require just a little more special attention.
Meet Justine from Plucky Sheilas! For about ten years I have been making jewellery and installation art which focuses on the personalities and statistics around historical feminist events, such as the third suffrage petition which gave the women in New Zealand the vote in 1893. I use recycled domestic implements and found fabric, and also cast these objects. I believe in the connection between past and present, and knowing that the stories of our past are relevant and useful. I have a deep admiration for Kate Sheppard and her contemporaries, and many of the women who followed their lead. I make a range of jewellery which features portraits of real-life plucky sheilas - rings, bracelets and earrings. I also have a series of pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings which feature my resin or resin plaster casts. These range from tiny antique bottles to drawer handles to buttons and buckles - all objects found commonly in the domestic sphere, which is a reference to both the past and present life of women. I am also constantly scavenging for old metal kitchen objects which I use to make bold, one-off brooches.
I make natural body products - Deodorants,shampoo bars,lip balms,ointments,body scrubs,body butters.
