MEET KATHY FROM Creations by KatroseI have always been the creative type of person and I enjoy exploring with different mediums. In 2011 I was diagnosed with an aggressive metastatic cancer and told my chances were slim. I obviously survived this and am now in remission and as such I decided I no longer wanted to be stressed in a job I didn’t enjoy anymore. I realised life is really too short to put my dreams on hold. I quit my job and the financial security that came with it and took a big risk to study art in 2015 part time. I had hoped I would gain employment on the days off, so if you are looking for a creative person part time, let me know! However for now, I am still a broke student without an income and any spare time I do have, I am exploring, experimenting and creating. I enjoy exploring with different mediums such as textiles, painting, drawing, sculpture, and jewellery. I discovered I have a love/hate relationship with 2D and have found a challenge and passion in 3D. I also have an Accreditation as a Paverpol Instructor and now hold regular sculpting workshops. At Wrought, I would like to introduce people to the wonderfully diverse array of art that can be made with Paverpol, offer sculptures for sale and to promote workshops for 2018. I will also bring along some of my unique jewellery pieces for sale. Paverpol is a liquid polymer, textile hardener. It is weatherproof so the sculptures can go both indoors and out. Paverpol is versatile, highly durable, safe and non toxic. The use of Paverpol in your art and craft is only limited by your imagination. Caution – using Paverpol can be highly addictive!
Kia ora, Hayley from Gifts and Living spacesGifts & living spaces was started as a hobby, creating terrariums at home, to selling them in a florist in the Wellington CBD. It progressed to Hayley and Stuart opening their own online gift shop from home. With over 10 years experience in retail & knowledge of flowers and plants after working in the florist industry for over 10 years & growing up on a flower farm in the lower North Island, you can trust we know our stuff when it comes to plants & horticulture. Terrariums make a perfect birthday or Christmas present for that special someone, and not only do we create unique terrariums & potted plants, we have a range of gift baskets on our online store for same day delivery across Wellington. Gifts & living spaces team has the experience and know-how to supply you with a beautiful living gift that could last you a lifetime! I've always enjoyed creating terrariums & baskets it started as a hobby to do on quiet days in my family florist shop & developed into so much more! Making terrariums gave me a way to bring nature indoors. I love making custom terrariums, I made a Hobbit terrarium for a man last Christmas that worked at Weta, Slightly nerve-racking but he loved it & it gave me so many ideas. I love hearing when people get my gifts delivered. Seeing photos of my terrariums on social media sitting on someones dinning room table is always rewarding! growing my own plants & seeing something grow from a tiny seedling to a blooming flower & then going out for delivery to my customers is something special :)
I love that people love what I do as much as me!! WELCOME, MARIE FROM Funky notice boards!I started funky noticeboards a few years ago. I enjoy making craft as it is a little different. Tiny treasures is custom-made living decor, made with living plants such as succulents, cacti, ferns and moss. I try to build little treasures that bring joy to my clients. I have a wide range of containers I use, a lot being upcycled. GREETINGS, PIXIE ROSE FROM The Wonky Pixie NZ!I, Pixie, am a forest to sea dweller. A nature artist. I find inspiration within nature, and believe in the light floating between the branches of the trees, or the curve of a seashell, or the dewdrop on a flower's petal. I find whimsy and fantastical story within my creations, through sculpture, resin art to image making of florals or those teeny tiny moss covered pine needles on the forest floor, with the faery rings of mushrooms. I try to evoke a mystical journey with my works. Suitable for all ages, and goblins. Or faery. Or mermaids. You just never know what you might find among the path of artworks. No magical creature/s were harmed in the making - in fact, they helped! I handcraft and handsculpt resin and nature art with real flowers, herbs, shells or crystals. I handsculpt faery/mermaid/goblin dwellings and minatures with paper mache and clay. I photograph florals, earthen scenes or macro nature. And I make vintage inspired or resin jewellery and trinkets where at times I source vintage items to tell a new story of their journey. I create from vintage papers, books, teacups and even bottles. Whimsy for all ages.

I discovered needle-felting in a UK craft magazine about 3 years ago and have been needle-felting ever since. A special barbed needle enables you to felt and sculpt the wool. I mostly make little felt animals and creatures such as cats, bunnies and little alien monsters! I make them by needle-felting NZ wool which allows me to sculpt wool into a 3D shape. Although needle-felting can be time-consuming - it is very absorbing and you can be quite creative.
