Peyton Morete is a 14-year-old singer-songwriter living on the Kapiti Coast. She has been performing regularly for the last four years in the Wellington and Manawatu area. As well as performing at many venues and music festivals she has won various awards. She has won Smokefree RockQuest Manawatu solo category for the last three years running. She also won the Wellington Super Star Talent Quest held in September. In December she won a spot in Def Jam NZ’s final performing for a talent scout from the States. Peyton performs mainly her own music which deals with lot of issues facing young people today. Her lyrics are very moving and mature for someone of her age. You can’t really put Peyton in a music genre category as her music is soulful, powerful and contemporary.
Her latest performance was her winning performance at SmokefreeRockQuest June 2nd. Hi, I'm Peyton, and I am saving to go to Sweden with my Kapiti College Music group next year, a huge amount to save for. My facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/PeytonMorete/ Instagram is: @PeytonMoreteMusic The FaustiansA wellington trio with roots in West Virginia old-time, the Faustians' music ranges from tub-thumping hillbilly hoedown songs to dark and mesmerising originals, with edgy mountain-forged vocals and sizzling harmonies, driven down by banjo, guitar and double bass. Helena carried a wealth of tradition with her when she moved back to NZ after spending 10 years in West Virginia learning the banjo. She formed the group Cotton Daisy Backstep and began playing traditional Appalachian Mountain music at cafes, folk clubs, fairs and square dances around Wellington. They were part of a resurgence of interest in roots Americana music in NZ. Amongst the Old-time songs they performed was an emerging number of originals. While Cotton Daisy still plays the traditional music, for Helena the original songs became increasingly urgent and a more focused conduit was needed. The Faustians was formed when Helena met Philip in June 2016 and they started playing together at home. Philip set out to learn old-time guitar and Ruby was recruited from just down the road to join them with the bass and harmony vocals. An album is planned for the end of this year to be followed by a tour of NZ. The Faustians will be playing at Wrought Christmas Makers' Market from 12-1pm, 23rd December. Come along and enjoy their music while you have a bite to eat from Outpawed's fundraiser cafe!

MEET KATHY FROM Creations by KatroseI have always been the creative type of person and I enjoy exploring with different mediums. In 2011 I was diagnosed with an aggressive metastatic cancer and told my chances were slim. I obviously survived this and am now in remission and as such I decided I no longer wanted to be stressed in a job I didn’t enjoy anymore. I realised life is really too short to put my dreams on hold. I quit my job and the financial security that came with it and took a big risk to study art in 2015 part time. I had hoped I would gain employment on the days off, so if you are looking for a creative person part time, let me know! However for now, I am still a broke student without an income and any spare time I do have, I am exploring, experimenting and creating. I enjoy exploring with different mediums such as textiles, painting, drawing, sculpture, and jewellery. I discovered I have a love/hate relationship with 2D and have found a challenge and passion in 3D. I also have an Accreditation as a Paverpol Instructor and now hold regular sculpting workshops. At Wrought, I would like to introduce people to the wonderfully diverse array of art that can be made with Paverpol, offer sculptures for sale and to promote workshops for 2018. I will also bring along some of my unique jewellery pieces for sale. Paverpol is a liquid polymer, textile hardener. It is weatherproof so the sculptures can go both indoors and out. Paverpol is versatile, highly durable, safe and non toxic. The use of Paverpol in your art and craft is only limited by your imagination. Caution – using Paverpol can be highly addictive!

I've always enjoyed creating terrariums & baskets it started as a hobby to do on quiet days in my family florist shop & developed into so much more! Making terrariums gave me a way to bring nature indoors. I love making custom terrariums, I made a Hobbit terrarium for a man last Christmas that worked at Weta, Slightly nerve-racking but he loved it & it gave me so many ideas. I love hearing when people get my gifts delivered. Seeing photos of my terrariums on social media sitting on someones dinning room table is always rewarding! growing my own plants & seeing something grow from a tiny seedling to a blooming flower & then going out for delivery to my customers is something special :)
