The Coffee Guy

Aman, The Coffee Guy for Lower hutt

The Coffee Guy first popped the boot to deliver piping hot, delicious espresso direct to customers in June 2005. Since then, we’ve been keeping the coffee coming to people all over New Zealand. We provide coffee to commuters at our drive-thru locations, we deliver it to workplaces and we provide coffee at events.
Picture
The popularity of The Coffee Guy amongst coffee drinkers was matched only by the enthusiasm of keen Kiwis wanting to ditch their nine-to-five in search of a lifestyle change and a business opportunity that stacks up. Today, we have over 50 franchises from Kawakawa to Dunedin. Our low-investment low-risk franchise opportunity continues to be popular so we’re regularly establishing new franchises.

Meet Liz from red glove style

I am Liz O'Brien and I have been an amateur artist for more than 20 years. I am now selling more of my work and I have moved into up-cycling items that interest me. I have recently completed Project Remade where I produced 50 items in 100 days as a challenge to myself. A number of these items have sold which gives me the challenge of continuing to offer original art and up-cycled items to people who are interested.

I am an artist, up-cycler and artisan. I produce original artwork on canvas and paper, and I source items from landfill and op-shops to remake. These items include small pieces of furniture and discarded bowls and boxes. I also make small quilts for small children and other fabric items such as bags. My ethic in remaking is to reuse, creatively, discarded items rather than lose their history and functions.

CREATIONS BY KATROSE

MEET KATHY FROM Creations by Katrose

I have always been the creative type of person and I enjoy exploring with different mediums.

In 2011 I was diagnosed with an aggressive metastatic cancer and told my chances were slim.  I obviously survived this and am now in remission and as such I decided I no longer wanted to be stressed in a job I didn’t enjoy anymore.  I realised life is really too short to put my dreams on hold. I quit my job and the financial security that came with it and took a big risk to study art in 2015 part time.  I had hoped I would gain employment on the days off, so if you are looking for a creative person part time, let me know!

However for now, I am still a broke student without an income and any spare time I do have, I am exploring, experimenting and creating.
I enjoy exploring with different mediums such as textiles, painting, drawing, sculpture, and jewellery. I discovered I have a love/hate relationship with 2D and have found a challenge and passion in 3D. I also have an Accreditation as a Paverpol Instructor and now hold regular sculpting workshops.

At Wrought, I would like to introduce people to the wonderfully diverse array of art that can be made with Paverpol, offer sculptures for sale and to promote workshops for 2018.  I will also bring along some of my unique jewellery pieces for sale.

Paverpol is a liquid polymer, textile hardener. It is weatherproof so the sculptures can go both indoors and out.  Paverpol is versatile, highly durable, safe and non toxic.  The use of Paverpol in your art and craft is only limited by your imagination. Caution – using Paverpol can be highly addictive!

Meet Meg from dora papers

Kia ora,
I'm Meg, you may have seen me at markets, where I sell my paper works as Dora Papers. I've been manipulating paper in various ways for years now, and the endless possibilities of paper still fascinate and surprise me. I work from my home/studio in Eastbourne, surrounded by trees and piles of paper.
Picture

I love working with paper, and also the native birds and bush of Aotearoa NZ. You'll see both of those things reflected in my work. I sell marbled paper jewellery, decorations, stationary and craft supplies. Everything is designed and made by me, and usually involves a combination of marbling, quilling and papier-mâché.

What we're about

WROUGHT is a new breed of #plasticbagfree makers' market, featuring local crafters and makers, performers, workshops, demonstrations, activities, and amazing food. We're on the lookout for makers with something different to offer, particularly metalwork, upcycled sculpture, woodwork, laser cut and CNC, things that are a bit more industrial art than standard 'crafts'. We're looking for stallholders in the Wellington region (or able to travel for our markets) who make their own stuff - the definition of 'make' being that they are the creative force behind the finished item, whether it be sewn, sculpted, 3D printed, drawn, or otherwise manufactured.
