It's all about you...As any successful event organiser will agree, my primary customers are my exhibitors - my stallholders. You.It's important to understand what a seller is looking for at a market. If the sellers are happy, they project that happiness out to the buyers - they share on social media, they connect with others, and form a community of supporters that help make the event a success. ...so let's talk about me!Ever worked for a boss who has no idea what your job involves? The best way to understand something is to live it - so it's lucky that I've been making to sell for over a decade, and selling at markets myself since 2008! And now, I'm working for you. So, here's an overview of my CV! What came beforeNothing exists in a vacuum, and I certainly didn't just randomly decide to run a market. I have previously also run the Petone Winter Markets, the Wellington Rabbit Rescue Fundrazer market, and several internal Kiwibank craft markets. In the beginningOver a decade ago, I started making beaded earrings, and selling them under the label of Phersu Dancing Jewellery and Treasures, now Phersu Dancing Designs. Phersu Dancing's jewellery has been absorbed into Copper Catkin now. Copper catkinInstead of trying to resuscitate Phersu Dancing after a hiatus, in May 2016, I launched Copper Catkin. I wanted a new, fresh take on using my designs to create beautiful things - and I still want to turn it into a clothing line, eventually. I branched out with Copper Catkin Consulting, too - I offer coaching on market stall display and sales techniques. What this means for youAs an exhibitor at WROUGHT, you will have the support and encouragement of an organiser who really gets what your needs are - experience at the front line is irreplaceable! I also have been working in customer service, particularly in sales and retail, for around 20 years.
I know about sales, I know about making displays look appealing, I know hard hard you've worked, and I know about how wonderful it feels as a small business when someone buys one of your creations. I have the "maker cred" to help me make this market a success. Let's work together and make it amazing!
