Meet the hardworking team from Outpawed, who will be providing eats and treats for us this Labour Weekend Monday at the very first Wrought Makers' Market! Outpawed will be selling food to fundraise, so please - plan to come for long enough to sit in our cafe space and enjoy a tasty morsel!
Outpawed is a NZ registered charity dedicated to the care and management of stray, abandoned and community cats in the Wellington region.
We provide shelter for wild cats/kittens and aim to desex, socialise, vaccinate, microchip and find homes for as many of these cats as possible. We are also involved in TNR for cats that cannot be integrated into a household environment. Where TNR is necessary, cats are released into managed colonies where they are fed and monitored.
We aim to work with local government and other animal welfare organisations to obtain the best outcome possible for the stray/community cat population. Our goal is to reduce this population over time through desexing and adoption.

What we're about
WROUGHT is a new breed of makers' market, featuring local crafters and makers, performers, workshops, demonstrations, activities, and amazing food. We're on the lookout for makers with something different to offer, particularly metalwork, upcycled sculpture, woodwork, laser cut and CNC, things that are a bit more industrial art than standard 'crafts'. We're looking for stallholders in the Wellington region (or able to travel for our markets) who make their own stuff - the definition of 'make' being that they are the creative force behind the finished item, whether it be sewn, sculpted, 3D printed, drawn, or otherwise manufactured.
